A natural compound in the body's cells
Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like compound found naturally in almost every cell of the body.
The body makes Q10 itself, but its natural production tends to decline with age. Q10 is also found in food, for example in fish, meat and nuts, but usually in relatively small amounts.
Ubiquinone: a natural form of Q10
Nurocore Q10 contains coenzyme Q10 as ubiquinone, one of the naturally occurring forms of Q10.
Ubiquinone can be converted to ubiquinol in the body. Both forms are part of the body's natural Q10 cycle.
We chose a simple formulation with 100 mg Q10 per capsule and the option to take 200 mg a day. That gives flexibility and full transparency about the dose.
Why is Q10 interesting?
- Q10 occurs naturally in the body's cells
- The body's own production of Q10 tends to decline with age
