For bones, muscles and the immune system
Vitamins D and K are two essential fat-soluble vitamins that the body needs for a number of important functions. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones and teeth and the maintenance of normal muscle function.
Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and to normal blood clotting.
Nurocore D3 + K2 combines both vitamins in one capsule, in carefully selected forms and considered doses.
2,000 IU vitamin D3 and 100 µg vitamin K2
We chose 50 µg vitamin D3 (2,000 IU) combined with 100 µg vitamin K2 as MK-7.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the same form of vitamin D that the body makes in the skin when exposed to sunlight.
Vitamin K2 (MK-7) is a form of vitamin K found in fermented foods, among others.
Both vitamins are fat-soluble and are best taken with a meal.
Why combine D3 and K2?
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus and to the maintenance of normal blood calcium levels.
Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
The two vitamins therefore have different but complementary functions for the body's normal bone health.
